All proceeds of Corks, Forks, Rhythm & Brews will directly benefit the Alameda Boys & Girls Club. The Club’s mission is to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Founded in 1949, ABGC has been providing high-impact, affordable youth development programs and services for youth ages 6-18. ABGC is open to all youth from all schools and backgrounds, every day and evening after school and during school vacations.
Daily programming at the ABGC focuses on Education & Career Development; Character & Leadership; Health & Life Skills; STEM & Technology; Fine & Performing Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. Participation in these programs and services improve the lives of its members as it teaches them the skills they need to achieve academic and professional success and also how to become confident, healthy and contributing members of society.
Since 1949, ABGC has changed the lives of over 100,000 children and teens. They turn no child or family away due to lack of funds. Many alumnus of their organization have gone on to become contributors to society such as business leaders, law enforcement, doctors, lawyers, etc. Their reach extends even beyond our four walls as many other youth agencies and community partners collaborate with our organization so we may provide a larger impact on our youth members.
